humility

Humble yourself and you shall be uplifted they say,
how many of us are humble?
how many of us think humility is necessary?
others think they are humble,
others think they are proud,
who is a humble person?
who is a proud chap?
who will teach us humility?
can we be humble?
all this is what unwind my mind today.

standing tall

I stand on the tall tower,
i gaze on the sea
waves tangle and detangle
the breeze moves upshoe and down shore
i see a mirage
a reflection of you
a picture of us
an image of our future
the future we build
the building we undertake
and suddenly
i slide and fall,
i rise again and the waters cover me
i rise and stand,
stand tall and move with chariots,
they have come again,
not to fight
but to raise me
i stand tall on the sand
beside the rock,
and listen
to the sweet sounds....
